Wet felted landscapes workshop - £55 including all materials, hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Discover the art of wet felted landscapes at our exclusive workshop on July 19th.

Unleash your creativity and dive into the world of wet felting at our upcoming workshop on July 19th from 4pm to 8pm. Hosted by Vicky, of Needlessly Felted, this workshop promises participants an immersive experience in crafting stunning landscapes through the mesmerising technique of wet felting.

Wet felting is an ancient craft that involves using water, soap, and agitation to transform raw wool fibres into a dense and malleable material. In this hands-on workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn the intricacies of wet felting and create their own beautiful landscape designs under the expert guidance of local artist Vicky Pulman.

Participants will be provided with all the necessary materials, including -

  • High-quality wool roving in a dazzling array of colours, textures and types
  • Hand spun and dyed artisan yarns
  • Raw and dyed silk fibres
  • Sari silk fibres and scraps
  • Curly locks
  • Bubble wrap
  • Fine mesh
  • Rolling and fulling tools
  • Natural olive oil soap.
  • Water sprays
  • Handout notes to help you continue to enjoy making your chosen felt projects in the future.
  • We advise attendees to wear a pinny! Rubber gloves may be used if preferred. You may wish to bring a small hand towel and something with which to carry your wet work home.

The workshop will cover essential 2D wet felting techniques, colour blending, and landscape design principles, as well as a look at the properties of each fibre type, allowing attendees to express their artistic visions in a tactile and dynamic way.

Spaces for this workshop are limited to 8 due to space constraints, so early registration is encouraged. Attendees are encouraged to bring their inspiration or reference photos to personalise their landscapes. Light refreshments will be provided with a break offering participants the chance to mingle and share their artistic experiences. Small kits and some fibres will be available to purchase at the end of the session.

Don't miss the chance to delve into the enchanting world of wet felting and create your own masterpiece!
