Motorcyclist taken to hospital after 'serious' crash near Congleton

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a 'serious' crash near Congleton.

Emergency services were called to reports of an incident on the A534 Sandbach Road in Brereton at around 7.50pm on Thursday, September 24 September.

Upon arrival, officers found there had been a crash involving a black Citroen C4 and a Ducati motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 63-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Police say that his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Meanwhile, the driver of the car, a 54-year-old man, was uninjured.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with any dashcam footage which may aid the investigation.
