Tennis club offers free coaching sessions to kick-start summer season

Fancy trying out tennis this year?
Congleton Lawn Tennis Club's summer tennis season officially gets underway today, April 1.
To mark the occasion, the club is inviting members of the public to come and give the sport a go, free of charge.
Teams and competitions lead Andrew Giltrap said: "With the clocks going forward to mark the start of British Summer Time and the summer tennis season starting on April 1, we wanted to showcase the club and remind the residents of Congleton what a great facility we have in the town.
"Tennis is suitable for everyone - we offer tennis for all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced players and tiny tots to over 80s."
Any adults or children aged five to 12 who are not currently members are invited to take part in a free coaching session at the club, based off West Street Car Park.
To find out how to get involved, contact head coach Craig Leese on 07795 144154.

This special offer marks the start of an exciting year for Congleton Lawn Tennis Club, both on and off the court.
They have plenty of teams signed up to take part in the local leagues as well as national competitions and inhouse club competitions.
First up is the Chairs Trophy sponsored by Hannah's Creations, which takes place this Sunday, April 6.
Off the court, social events start on May 17 with a ladies social featuring a clothing sale from Ask Sal, a make-up and skin care demo and an open bar, with guests treated to a free glass of fizz as well as cheese and biscuits.
Looking ahead to the rest of the year, there are plans for a quiz or race night along with the club's end of season presentations and BBQ.
