Congleton Town maintained their 100% start to the league campaign with a 3-1 win against Northwich Victoria.

Playing in front of their fans for the first time this season, the Bears raced into a two-goal lead thanks to two second half strikes from Tom Pope.

The visitors reduced the deficit in the 72nd minute through Chad Whyte to set up a nervy finish.

But the Bears ensured they made it three wins out of three thanks to an injury time strike from Arron Johns.

Richard Duffy's side will be aiming to make it four wins out of four when they travel to Litherland on Saturday.
