Congleton Town crashed out of the FA Cup after losing 3-2 away to Emley AFC on Sunday.

In a topsy-turvy clash, the Bears went a goal down after five minutes when Matt Sykes converted a penalty for Emley.

However, two goals in three minutes from Jonathan Beaumont halfway through the first half put Richard Duffy's side ahead.

But the game turned on its head once again when Oliver Jepson headed the ball over his own goalkeeper Cameron Phelps in the 54th minute to bring the game level.

Only four minutes later, George Doyle scored what was the winner for the hosts Emley.

The Bears will be looking to maintain their 100% start to the league season when they welcome Northwich Victoria to the Cheshire Silk 106.9 Stadium on Tuesday.
