A man has been arrested after attempting a number of break-ins at properties in Congleton last night.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Special Inspector Hibbert and Macclesfield Police officers descended on an area of Congleton following multiple 999 calls reporting someone trying to break into properties.

Firefighters were called following reports of large plumes of smoke and flames coming from Bosley Cloud.
One fire engine from Macclesfield arrived on Tunstall Road, Congleton, just before 6.30pm last night (Good Friday).

Congleton Fire Station is asking the community to adhere to the government lockdown guidelines and stay at home this Easter weekend.
A Congleton Fire Station spokesperson said: "Only go outside for food, health reasons or work, but only if you cannot work from home.
Monthly workshops for youngsters at Bromley Farm Community Centre in Congleton have been given financial support by Congleton Town Council, but councillors are keen for the project to expand across the town.
Inner Trust is a non-profit 'community interest' company, which helps children, young people and adults with mental health issues using counselling, music, arts, virtual reality and DJing.
A Congleton restaurant has been given a food hygiene rating of 1 after an inspection was carried out by a Food Safety officer.
The inspection found that Casa Piccola, 12c West Street, needed to make major improvements to the management of their food safety and further improvements to their hygienic food handling, the cleanliness and condition of the premises was deemed satisfactory.

A Congleton helpdesk will be open for residents who have no other means of reporting crime during the lockdown.
A total of 16 police stations across Cheshire will open for one hour a day to offer a service for members of the public who cannot contact the Constabulary online or via the phone.

Congleton businesses are set to receive some financial support as Cheshire East Council begins the roll out of almost £90m in government-backed coronavirus business grant funding.
Around 8,000 businesses in the borough are eligible to receive grants of either £10,000 or £25,000 under a government scheme totalling nearly £90m across Cheshire East.
