ABBA Tribute

On Friday 1 March, Congleton Town Council presents UK Bjorn, the ultimate tribute to the iconic pop band ABBA. The group are set to deliver an unforgettable performance at Congleton Town Hall.

This highly anticipated show promises an authentic ABBA experience that will transport audiences back to the golden era of the 70s. 

Organiser, Rachel McCarthy, Town Centre and Events Officer said: "We are thrilled to bring the magic of ABBA to the Town Hall. Their unique blend of music, costumes, and audience engagement creates an authentic ABBA party atmosphere. Get ready to sing, dance, and relive the timeless hits that everyone knows and loves."

Rode Hall Snowdrop Walk

The Rode Hall Snowdrop Walk is rounding off this weekend.

Until 2 March, Rode Hall will be hosting its annual Snowdrop Walk, Thursday - Sunday, 10am until 4pm. 

Entry costs £7.50 and children cost £3.

Italia!

Macclesfield Symphony Orchestra presents a lovely programme of music from Italy featuring:

Verdi 'Force of Destiny'

Wolf 'Italian Serenade in G Major'

Mendelssohn 'Symphony No. 4 (Italian)

Strauss 'Aus Italien (from Italy) Op. 26'

They will be conducted by Anthony Houghton

Tickets are £15 for adults and free for under 18s. They are available from Congleton Tourist Information Centre and Macclesfield Visitor Information Centre as well as online at kems.yapsody.com

Sunday Walk Programme

The Sunday Walk Programme from Congleton Museum is back on 3 March.

Walks last approx 1 hour and 30 minutes, followed by a complimentary cream tea back at the museum. For any dietary requirements, please contact the museum at least 48 hours prior to the walk. 

Walks are delivered at a moderate pace, sometimes going up/down steps. Comfortable footwear is advisable.

For over 350 years textile manufacture was the mainstay of Congleton's economic development. This trade influenced every aspect of the town's life through the provision of services and its industrial, commercial and domestic architecture.
