Join in with a host of events taking place in and around Congleton this weekend.

Sewing Club

Local crafter, Sarah, will be running a Sewing Club this Saturday, 13 January from 10am until 12pm.

The sessions are monthly and will cater for complete beginners and we will be able to make various different hand sewn pieces and take them home including bookmarks, coasters, lavender bags, hanging hearts or sample pieces. 

 Attendees will be using vintage and preloved fabrics, ribbon and lace to create something really unique to either keep or to give as a gift.

Hansel and Gretel Pantomime

Hansel and Gretel presented by Congleton Pantomime will be showing on 13 and 14 January this weekend.

Showtimes:

  • 13 Jan 2024 – 2.30pm & 7.30pm
  • 14 Jan 2024 – 1.00pm & 5.30pm

The event will take place at Daneside Theatre, Park Road, Congleton, CW12 1DP.

Hedge Laying for Beginners

Hedgelaying for Beginners is taking place on Sunday, 14 January 2024, hosted by Cheshire East Council.

Hedgelaying is the traditional way to maintain boundary hedges. This hands on event will introduce you to basic hedge laying techniques and the different tools required to complete the job.

Booking and payment in advance essential. Cost £25. Suitable for anyone over the age of 16. Bring a packed lunch and wear appropriate clothing.

This event will take place from 10:00am - 4:00pm on 14 January 2024.
