Don't forget, you can advertise your Congleton event for FREE on our What's Section, where it can get included in this article and our newsletter, sent to 3500 Congletonians every Friday.

Just up the road, Saturday afternoon will also see a major event happening in Congleton.

Congleton Town FC are just a few wins away from qualifying for the first round proper of the FA Cup, where the professional teams enter.

But first, they have to see off AFC Fylde, who are currently sitting third in the sixth highest football competition in the UK.

The home game kicks off at at 12:30pm, tickets are likely to sell out before the event, but some are still available here.

But the big match will also be broadcast on BBC iPlayer if you'd prefer to support the Bears from the comfort of your own home.

UPDATE: 29.9 THE EVENT HAS NOW SOLD OUT.

Vintage Boogie

Pubs will need all the support they can get during the cost of living crisis, so we thought we'd start to share some pub events in our weekend round-up of events.

On Friday from 8pm, come dance to some old-school tunes at The Olde Kings Arms on 1 High Street.

Congleton DJ Recordsville will be playing retro tunes at Congleton's oldest pub.

If you fancy a night of great old tunes & few newer ones all washed down with some fine ales, get down to this free event.

Historic Walk

A two-hour guided walk called 'Where Trains would Run' will take place on Sunday,

Using images of Congleton, taken over the past 100 years, this walk will show how the main streets of the town have developed to meet the changing social and economic needs of its inhabitants.

Leader Ian Doughty and guests will meet at the Museum at 2.00pm on Sunday 2nd October.

Adults £4.00, Children £1.00, Friends of Congleton Museum £2.50

And that is that! Have a fab weekend Congleton.
