Glastonbury is old news... it is time for Astonbury!

On Saturday July 2, enjoy over 12 local ales and even more musicians, for Astbury's family-friendly music festival.

Tickets are £20 for adults on the gate, and a tenner for kids. A family can get in at a discounted rate of £50.

The festival starts at Glebe Farm at 5pm. The last band will be done by 11:30. You can also buy tickets in advance here.

Free Live Music

Congleton Park will be hosting live music this weekend.

Congleton Park is already a visual treat, but it will also be a treat to another one of our senses this weekend... sound.

On Sunday, the Congleton Lions Brass Band Concert will take place from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.

Guests are invited to bring a picnic for this free live music show.

The event is currently being promoted on our What's on page by the East Cheshire Eye Society, who are meeting up there. Read more here.

Kids Arts and Crafts

The children and parents or guardians are invited to a medieval-themed arts and crafts event.

The two-and-a-half hour session is one of many Congleton 750 events, with the medieval theme being inspired by our town's charter year in 1272.

It is a free drop-in between 9:30am and 12pm on Saturday July 2.

Materials provided.

Walking the Dane

Market Square's Congleton Musueum is hosting a guided history walk across the River Dane this weekened.

This walk along its banks from Dane Mill on Broadhurst Lane to Eaton Bank will trace how industry harnessed its destructive power to make Congleton an important manufacturing centre, and revealed how the river has been crucial to Congleton over the past few centuries.

Meet at the Museum at 2.00pm on Sunday July 3. Pay Mr Ian Doughty as you arrive. Adults £4.00, Children £1.00, Friends of Congleton Museum £2.50.

Have a fantastic weekend Congleton!
