What's on in Congleton this weekend?

Congleton: We've rounded up the best events you can get up to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Here's our picks for the events of the weekend...

  1. Live Showjumping

Somerford Park Farm on Holmes Chapel Rd, Brereton Heath, Congleton, will be the set for a showjumping competition this weekend.

For a non-member day ticket fee of £5.00 you can take part if you are 15 or over.

Social distancing measures are in place. Horses and humans must be vaccinated.

East Cheshire Combined Training Group will host the event.

  1. Quiz Night

A two-hour quiz night will take place at The Young Pretender on Sunday.

Starting from 8pm, teams of up to four can take part in the quiz with a £1 entry.

They'll be general knowledge and local knowledge questions.

The Congleton bar was added to the CAMRA Real Ale Guide for the eighth year in a row last year.

  1. House of Gucci (15)
Hollywood stars Adam Drive and Lady Gaga shine in the latest film to be shown at the Daneside Theatre. House of Gucci tells a story of an outsider which marries into the wealthy Gucci family. The Park Road cinema will show the film in Congleton on Sunday from 7pm. Tickets are £5 from the Congleton Information Centre on High Street. Or you can call 01260 27050.
