Multiple arrests after Congleton knifepoint robbery

The two perpetrators have been caught, after a robbery at knifepoint in Congleton this week.

The armed robbery occurred at Select Convenience Store, of 17 Brook St.

Three days after group of men committed the crime, the pair have been arrested by Cheshire Police.

In a statement, our county's force said: "A 36-year-old man from Congleton was arrested and has since been released on conditional bail.

"A second man aged 24 from Liverpool has also been arrested and remains in custody."

No further information has been given at this stage.
