A family-ran Congleton shop was targeted in an armed robbery on Monday evening.
Chesire Police Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage following an armed robbery at Select Convenience, also known as Bargain Booze.
The force said in a statement: "At around 6pm on Monday 29 November, an unknown man armed with a knife entered the Select Convenience Store on Brook Street, while a second man stood in the doorway.
"The man armed with the knife then threatened staff and ordered them to open the till before stealing a quantity of cash.
"Both men then left the store on foot, travelling in the direction of Congleton Park."
The first man was described as a white, around 5' 1" tall and had a strong Liverpool accent.
He was wearing a black Nike hoody, black jeans, grey trainers and had a snood covering his face. This is believed to be the man with the knife.
The second man was also white, and around 5' 2" tall. He was wearing a fur hat, a grey and black North Face jacket, black jeans and black trainers.
It is not known if this other male was also from Liverpool, from Congleton, or somewhere else.
Detective Constable Thomas Towe said: "While there were no injuries, the store worker has understandably been left shaken and the incident is likely to cause concern in the local area.
"I would reassure residents that we are committed to doing all that we can to identify the people responsible.
"We're currently following a number of lines of enquiry including CCTV analysis and forensics.
"As part of our investigation we're also keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and believes they may have witnessed the offenders entering or fleeing the store.
"The same goes for anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage that may be relevant to our investigation.
"If you have any information, no matter how small, please call us on 101, quoting IML 1144353 or give the details via this link.
Claire and Richard, who run the store had this to say following the crime: "After the incident last night we would like to say thank you for everyone's kind words and messages.
"It really means a lot to us, and to reassure everyone that we are okay and open as usual. Thank you for your support x."
