The Congleton bars and breweries in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide 2026

Congleton's best spots for beer lovers have been revealed.
The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has published its 2026 Good Beer Guide.
It features a number of local bars and breweries, including Beartown Tap on Willow Street.
A spokesperson for the venue said: "We are delighted to announce that we have been included in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for the sixth year running.
"Within the industry this is largely viewed as a mark of quality ales.
"Thanks to our local CAMRA group for their continued support. We look forward to raising a glass with you all in celebration
"Thanks also to Beartown Brewery for the continuous supply of some stunning beers."

Speaking of which, Beartown Brewery is also included in the 2026 Good Beer Guide.
They are joined by fellow local producer, Merlin Brewing Company in Arclid.
Also making the cut is the Throstles Nest pub on Buxton Road, Buglawton.
"Immensely proud to be included in The Good Beer Guide for a second successive year," read a post shared to the pub's Facebook page.
"Thank you to everyone for the support!"
The Queens Head in Hightown is also featured in the guide.
As is the Bull's Head, located just outside of Congleton, in Smallwood.

While predominantly serving as the definitive guidebook to pubs serving great cask beer, this year's Good Beer Guide also comes with a clear message to the Chancellor.
CAMRA warns that the latest figures show another drop in brewery numbers across the UK, with 149 having closed in the past year.
Meanwhile, 36 pubs that featured in the 2025 guide have since closed.
Ash Corbett-Collins, CAMRA Chairman, said: "This really is a make-or-break Budget for the Chancellor.
"It's time for the Government to decide if they're pro pubs and independent brewers, or if they are going to reign over the demise of the Great British pub.
"Consumers want decisive action to get independent beers onto bars and allow pubs to thrive."
He added: "Each edition of the Good Beer Guide is a collectible snapshot of beer and pub culture that year.
"This year's guide is a testament to the remarkable resilience of publicans, continuing to achieve excellence and choice for consumers despite a backdrop of sky-high tax bills and a lack of action from Government.
"The Chancellor needs to use the upcoming Budget to slash the tax burden on pubs, including VAT, duty and National Insurance contributions."
