The much-loved Congleton Paddling Pool enjoyed by families since the 1930s will open its gates again on Saturday,27 May.

The pool will be open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday until the schools break for the summer holidays. The pool will then be open seven days a week for the summer season.

Town Hall manager Mark Worthington, said: "We're working hard behind the scenes to make sure the pool is ready for families to enjoy over the summer.

"In both low and high season, there will be two options – a morning session (10am – 1pm) or an afternoon session (2pm – 5pm).

"Visitors will need to book their free spaces in advance via the town council's online booking system.

"Bookings can be made from Tuesday 23 May onwards. Bookings can be made on the day, but advance booking is advised to avoid disappointment! Tickets will be released a week in advance.

"Congleton Paddling Pool is an extremely popular attraction and sees people travelling from miles around to visit.

"The booking system is in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. There will be 140 tickets for each session and everyone entering the pool area will need a booked place, including babies and toddlers.

A person can download a maximum of eight tickets and will be restricted to one session a week. The facility is designed for children aged 11 years and under and all children must be accompanied by an adult."

Visitors driving to the facility, are reminded to be respectful of local residents and to remember that Daneside Theatre car park is a private car park and cannot be used for the pool.

Town Centre car parks are just a short walk from the pool and park.

Any announcements, updates or closures during the season will be made in the first instance on the town Council website and social media pages.
