Congleton Veterinary Centre has been proudly serving the community since 2008.

Lots has changed over the years, with the practice working hard to keep up to date with the latest developments in the veterinary industry.

However, one thing that hasn't changed is the staff, with clinical director Struan Henderson among several members to have called the practice home for over a decade now.

He said: "Over the past 17 years we have built up a great reputation in Congleton and the surrounding area.

"We are a work family and that extends to our clients as well."

In 2012, Congleton Veterinary Centre was sold to IVC Evidensia, a global leader in veterinary care.

This deal brought with it investment which enabled the practice to improve its facilities, developing better consultation rooms and investing in new x-ray and ultrasound machines.

However, they have no intention of resting on their laurels.

Head veterinary nurse and Congleton resident Jennifer Proctor said: "We are constantly evolving and looking for ways to improve and provide the best service for our clients and patients.

"Everyone at the practice works as a team. We have open minds and all opinions are valid."

Struan added: "This has always been a job with a lot of variety, no two days are ever the same.

"Me and Jenny are a bit long in the tooth but we're still learning.

"The veterinary industry is constantly changing. There are always new drugs and treatments, new ways of doing things and new policies to keep up with."

Across their four consultation rooms and surgical theatre, Congleton Veterinary Centre cover everything from vaccines and worming to routine operations, such as neutering.

They also offer dental care and until July 13 are offering a full examination and comprehensive clean for £329, down from £405.

Speaking of affordable pet healthcare, Pet Health Club allows owners to spread the cost of their furry friend's proactive care.

This includes vaccinations, flea treatments and unlimited consultations, saving up to £518 per year.

Congleton Veterinary Centre also opens every day of the year except Christmas.

"We try to cater for the whole community," said Struan.

"Across every profession there has been a lot about the cost of living recently and we aren't immune to that.

"Our costs have gone up but we try to provide ways and means to help our clients.

"Also, we realise that not everyone can come into the vets so we try to do home visits and deliveries when we can as well."
