New chicken wing chain opens first Cheshire outlet in Congleton

Congleton residents now have something new to tempt their tastebuds in the run–up to Christmas and beyond. 

Wingers fast-food chain has opened in Barn Road opposite the Tesco food store with ample parking and seating inside - the outlet's most northern branch.

Jaz Bajwa is the franchisee of Wingers in Congleton and it's something of a family affair for his younger brother Arjun also works there. 

Jaz also runs a Subway branch in the Midlands where he lives but fell in love with the location of the Congleton Wingers branch when he saw it.

"It's a fantastic town with brilliant transport links and the location of Wingers in Congleton in Barn Road is perfect." he said.

"We're expecting to be very busy in the run-up to Christmas and beyond. The feedback so far has been excellent." 

Wingers offers customers an extensive menu featuring chicken wings in all sorts of flavours from jerk BBQ to American BBQ and sriracha hot sauce.  

You can also choose either four, six or eight boneless chicken tenders marinated in buttermilk, smothered in your choice of sauce.

And there's no question that the new Wingers in Congleton will be a huge success for business is in the blood for Jaz. 

His father, Karl, was one of the first franchisee owners of the Subway chain and when Jaz was young he used to help out in his father's Lichfield branch. 

"I love the industry and I love the Wingers model. The food is amazing and the branding is fresh and designed for today's busy lifestyles."

Wingers in Congleton is open seven days a week from 11 am until 10 pm Sunday and Monday – Thursday and 11 am until 11 pm on Friday and Saturday.
