A popular Indian street food brand has opened a café at a service station near Congleton.

Chaiiwala is now open for business at Sandbach Services on the M6 southbound.

It marks the latest milestone in Chaiiwala's partnership with Roadchef, following the launch of its first motorway location at Watford Gap Services in 2025, with five more planned to open across the UK throughout August.

Sohail Ali, co-founder of Chaiiwala, said: "We're delighted to be building on our partnership with Roadchef by opening at Sandbach Southbound and introducing even more motorway travellers to Chaiiwala.

"Since opening our first Roadchef location, we've seen just how well our authentic Indian street food and handcrafted drinks resonate with customers on the move.

"Whether it's a Karak Chaii and a Omelette wrap before setting off or a Bombay Twister Wala Wrap during a journey, we're excited to offer drivers something a little different from the traditional motorway stop."

The opening supports Roadchef's wider £300 million investment programme, which is enhancing its motorway service areas through new food and drink concepts, improved facilities and a more diverse offer for customers travelling across the UK.

Dan Sutton, brands director at Roadchef, added: "We're committed to giving our customers more choice every time they stop with us, and Chaiiwala is a fantastic addition to Sandbach Southbound.

"As we continue to diversify our food and drink offering, we're introducing exciting new brands that reflect the variety of tastes and preferences of the millions of people who travel on the UK's motorway network each year."

The M6 southbound Chaiiwala is open daily from 8am to 9pm.

On the menu you will find their signature Karak Chaii, freshly brewed onsite with a secret blend of seven spices.

On the food side of things, you can expect Wala Wraps, breakfast wraps, Bombay toasties and rice bowls as well as a range of sweet treats, including loaded doughnuts.
