Police have issued a warning to Congleton residents following a string of burglaries in the area.

Between January 11 and 25, homes on Bailey Crescent, Brierley Road and Pirie Road were broken into.

As such, Cheshire Police are urging residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

PCSO Karen Linton said: "We have been in the area giving advice and reassurance while the burglaries are investigated.

"I'd urge residents to review their security and make sure your homes are secure.

"Always make sure your doors are locked, even if you are at home, and if possible, think about getting video doorbells or CCTV to protect your home and deter thieves."
