A health and beauty business is moving into its own high street home.

The Luminous Clinic is relocating to Swan House on Swan Bank, having enjoyed success as part of The Retreat's incubator scheme.

Founded by registered nurse and prescriber, Francesca Bluer, the business has grown from a part-time venture into a full-time clinic with an expanding client base and a need for larger premises.

"Moving into my own clinic is a huge milestone, and it wouldn't have been possible without the opportunities I had at The Retreat," said Francesca.

"Having the flexibility to start in a smaller space, benefit from discounted periods while I established my business further and becoming full time rather than part time, and grow alongside an incredibly supportive community gave me the confidence to build The Luminous Clinic into what it is today.

"As my client base has expanded, so has my vision, and I'm excited to take this next step into a larger space.

"I'll always be thankful for the role The Retreat has played in my journey."

The Luminous Clinic joined The Retreat, a health, beauty and wellness business community based on Mill Street, as part of a scheme designed to help independent businesses establish themselves before progressing into larger premises.

The Retreat's incubator model combines flexible, fully serviced space with introductory rental support and practical business-development opportunities.

Members receive access to quarterly marketing meetings, dedicated content support, digital display-screen advertising and opportunities to collaborate with other complementary health, beauty and wellness businesses.

The model aims to reduce some of the barriers associated with taking on a commercial space, giving business owners time to build their client base, strengthen their brand and gain confidence before making a larger commitment.

Amy Sadler, marketing lead at The Retreat, said "Fran's move onto the high street is exactly the kind of success story The Retreat was created to support.

"The Retreat is a great stepping stone where independent entrepreneurs can learn and grow with the right commercial and marketing support around them.

"Fran has worked incredibly hard to build The Luminous Clinic, and seeing her progress into a larger standalone clinic is a brilliant moment for her business and a strong example of what this kind of supported space can achieve."
