New drinks coasters will be available to purchase in Congleton Visitor Information centre this June.

The locally-produced art is part of a series of Congleton-related prints by Macclesfield artist Adam Schofield (41).

There's two drinks, and two prints themed to our town, the latter of which can be framed.

Iconic subjects include Congleton pubs, bridges and buildings.

"My work - which I have done for similar landmarks in towns across Cheshire - is about capturing the architecture of key iconic landmarks," said Adam.

"On this we have the Congleton Viaduct, The Counting House, and The Lion and Swan Inn.

"There's also St. Peter's Church, Congleton Park Pavilion, Salford Mill, Congleton Town Hall, Overton House, and the Ye Olde King Arms.

"Also exclusive to the colour print, there's even a bear from the Bearmania art project."

"Of all the landmarks, Congleton Town Hall took me the longest to draw by far, it is very ornate and fiddly.

"You can't even see all the detail [when scaled down] on the prints, but the detail is phenomenal if I do say so myself.

"Every little squiggle and ornate feature is there. Congleton overall has a nice mix of black and white or redbrick buildings, that were a pleasure to draw."

"I got the idea for the collection as my Macclesfield prints were so successful, I decided to start-up a Congleton range as well.

"Congleton Visitor Information Centre also specifically suggested me to do the coasters.

"I'm starting small for now but we'll see how it goes from there."

The coasters can be snapped up for £5 each, and you can buy them online here.

You can also buy the two coasters at Congleton Information Centre on 5 High Street.

The Congleton print, costs start at £13.95 online has various sizes, can be purchased here.

The print is slightly cheaper when bought in person at the Information Centre.
