Despite the challenges of COVID, the Community Voluntary Service Toy Appeal has once again proved successful receiving a fantastic donation total of 1591 gifts kindly given by people all over Cheshire East.

The annual appeal runs in aid of children supported by local charities and family services organisations in our community, who are facing challenging times over the festive season, children who might otherwise go without presents at Christmas.

As a result of the pandemic, the appeal anticipated a higher need for donations this year with even more children and their families coming under the support and care of services run by local charities.

The appeal also supports children with chaotic home lives, at times with domestic violence and families with loved ones in end-of-life care and more.

The CVS team have had gift requests pouring in from charities over the past couple of months, who are actively supporting struggling local families and they will have great pleasure in distributing these through their network.

Congleton Accountants Hammond McNulty, who were set to be a town centre toy donation point until the impact of COVID; held their own in-house toy collection which was received by Andrew Luisis of CVS Cheshire East last Tuesday.

If you are interested in offering your support to the Toy Appeal next year you can contact Andrew Luisis, Marketing & Design Manager at CVSCE [email protected]
