A number of local businesses have committed their support to Congleton Pride.

These new sponsors will support the charity through the coming months, with a particular focus on the flagship pride parade on Saturday 20 July.

Businesses of all shapes and sizes have pledged their support to the charity, which aims to support inclusivity and equality in the community.

Businesses include:

  • The Pear Hospitality Group (including the Lion & Swan, the Wheatsheaf, Pecks and the Bluebell)
  • Millies Vets
  • LOGURU
  • Kanga Health
  • Edit Development
  • Dress2mydoor
  • Stock at the Pavilion

The charity has also secured grants from Cheshire East Council and the Margaret Williamson Memorial Fund.

Congleton Pride was established in 2018, with the aim of "learning and celebrating equality, diversity and community".

The main focus of the charity at current is this summer's free pride event, which will be returning to Congleton for the fifth time this year. Thousands of visitors from Congleton and beyond attend each year.

However, it's not just the day itself - Congleton pride is involved in lots of other work in other areas. In the charity's own words: "Congleton Pride creates safe spaces and provides support for the rainbow community, organising coffee afternoons, meals and trips, as well as fund raising events."

Jake Pear, managing director of Pear Hospitality, said: "We have supported Congleton Pride for a number of years now and we are both proud and delighted to be the charity's event partner.

"Being aligned with Pride in our personal values was an easy decision for us."

Malcolm Pope, chair of Congleton Pride, said: "I'd like to thank all our sponsors for their generosity in supporting us.

"Supporting Congleton Pride is about more than showcasing your company's values and helping a local charity. Sponsoring us benefits local businesses in more tangible ways."

If any other business would like to sponsor Congleton Pride, please contact the team at [email protected] or visit the Congleton Pride website HERE.
