A Congleton company's charity fundraiser will welcome a star boxer.

Stoke-on-Trent sportsman Nathan 'Hitman' Heaney will appear at an event next month, hosted by Congleton financial planner Franklyn.

Every year, Franklyn host the Franklyn Football Match "Return of the Legends" at Stoke City FC.

The event raises money for Stoke City FC Community Trust, and features ex-professional footballers plus other sporting guests.

Ricardo Fuller and Ryan Shotton are current confirmed Stoke City players for the June 2 event.

And on June 2, we will see if Nathan 'Hitman' Heaney will be able to play football as good as he fights!

"It's a knockout new signing," said Franklyn.

"We are so excited that Nathan 'Hitman' Heaney will be playing in our Franklyn Football Match on the 2nd of June.

"It's going to be a day not to be missed, make sure you get your tickets soon!"

Heaney is not the only non-footballer who will take to the pitch. Last week, rugby legend Byron McGuigan was also announced to attend the match.

You can get your tickets to the event ON THIS LINK.
