It also costs another £1.50 to do to the journey from Manchester Piccadilly to Congleton.

The flash sale will last for less than two weeks, but you can buy tickets for trains beyond this date.

Congleton Railway said: "£1.50 each way Congleton to Manchester! Available to purchase until May 2. for travel between April 25 and May 27!"

Be quick - weekend tickets for this route are already short in supply.

The single fare on a non-sale date is normally £5.90, meaning you are saving £4.40 when you buy a single ticket for £1.50.

For a journey both ways, it would normally cost you £11.80, but you can get tickets for the most of May for just £3. Saving £8.80,
