By Matthew Hancock-Bruce 24th Jun 2026
There is 'increasing concern' as police search for a missing man from Congleton.
Gareth Farron was last seen at around 10am on Monday, June 22, in the Clayton Avenue area of town.
The 44-year-old is described as white, around 6' 4" tall, of a large build, and has short brown hair.
He was last seen wearing a pale blue t-shirt, shorts, and trainers.
Inspector Elaine Duddle said: "It's almost two days since Gareth was last seen, and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.
"We believe Gareth may be travelling in a dark blue Mercedes E class 22 plate, and I would urge anyone who thinks that they may have seen him since he went missing, or has seen a car matching this description, to please get in touch.
"The same goes for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of him since he disappeared.
"I would also like to appeal directly to Gareth to ask him to please contact us, so we know that you're okay."
Anyone with information should visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us or call 101, quoting IML-2357269.
*09:47 UPDATE*
Cheshire Police have confirmed that Gareth has been found safe and well.
