Protestors gathered outside Number 10 North to make their voices heard over the Peak Cluster CO2 pipeline proposals.
East Cheshire AACCS (Action Against Carbon Capture and Storage) decided to take their campaign to the streets of Manchester on Friday, October 16.
Among those in attendance was Prestbury parish councillor Stephen Gildert.
He said: "East Cheshire AACCS decided to take its protest to the streets last Friday, specifically to the pavement outside No 10 North to get the attention of the government.
"Protesters in their hundreds from across Cheshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and the Wirral gathered in Albert Square to voice their opposition to the Peak Cluster pipeline that the group considers a terrible solution to C02 pollution."

The protest came after Cheshire East Council voted unanimously to formally object to the £5 billion Peak Cluster CO2 pipeline proposal.
There was applause from the public gallery as all 66 councillors present at Wednesday's (October 14) full council meeting backed a motion to oppose the controversial project, which aims to capture carbon dioxide from cement and lime plants in Derbyshire and Staffordshire and transfer it via a 121-mile pipeline to a storage facility under the Irish Sea, passing through Cheshire East.
Council leader Nick Mannion said there were 'too many unanswered questions' about the proposal.
He told the meeting: "Climate change is real… we need to act now.
"Is Peak Cluster Limited's proposal the safest and most appropriate response for the cement industry? I have yet to be convinced."
