Homebuilder Miller Homes, has made a donation to Congleton-based Friends for Leisure, a charitable organisation dedicated to helping disabled children and young people in Cheshire East create and nurture new friendships.
The donation, which included an array of both indoor and outdoor activities, included skipping ropes, hula-hoops, tennis equipment, rounders equipment, and an assortment of other engaging assault course items. The goods will directly support Friends for Leisure's youth groups, picnics, and holiday activities, enabling them to offer fun and friendship for young, vulnerable individuals.
Friends for Leisure, based in Congleton, plays a vital role in the community by organising and delivering enjoyable activities that promote social inclusion, friendship, and personal development for young people with disabilities. With a focus on creating positive experiences, the charity provides a safe and supportive environment where children and teenagers can thrive.
Located in close proximity to the Miller Homes development Turnstone Grange, Friends for Leisure was a natural choice for the company's community outreach efforts. The equipment they have donated will significantly improve the range of activities and experiences we can offer to the young people we work with here. It will undoubtedly make a positive impact on their lives and create memorable moments of joy and friendship."
Clare Noakes, Sales Director at Miller Homes, shared her excitement about the collaboration, stating: "Miller Homes is committed to supporting local organisations that make a difference in the lives of young people. We are proud to contribute to the charity's valuable work, which aligns with our own vision of fostering strong communities.
