Fire crew and police called out after car crashes into house in Congleton

One fire crew and police were called out to a home in Congleton after a car crashed into a house. 

Cheshire Fire and Rescue sent one crew from Congleton to Lapwing Drive in Lower Heath on Saturday morning (6 September) to assist with isolating the car's battery after the crash. 

No one was trapped following the incident and the house was checked over by fire crews for any signs of damage. Cheshire Police was first called to the street at 9:13am and said the driver is thought to have sustained "minor injuries" from the crash.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: "Crews were called to assist police at the scene of a car in collision with a house. 

"No one was trapped or injured, and firefighters assisted by isolating the car's battery and checking the gas and electricity supply to the property for any damage."

Cheshire Police was first called to the street at 9:13am and the force says the driver is thought to have sustained "minor injuries" from the crash.
