Father Christmas is set to put in an early appearance in Congleton

Father Christmas with the help of Congleton Town councillor Rob Moreton will be doing socially distanced greetings at various Congleton locations over the next two weeks.

Cllr Moreton said he was pleased to help Father Christmas spread a little festive cheer as so many Christmas events have been cancelled.

If you hear that Christmas music and the sound of a sleigh, it might not be your ears deceiving you but the man himself aided by his main elf who happens to have a startling resemblance to 15-year-old, Congleton Covid-19 hero Callum Bloor.
