By Tom Avery 12th Feb 2021

A father and son have been charged with 'going equipped' to commit catalytic converter theft in Eaton.

Patrick Collins Snr, 39, and Patrick Collins Jnr, 18, appeared at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Friday 12 February to answer a going equipped to commit theft charge.

It relates to a vehicle stop and search that officers carried out at around 4.10pm on Friday 11 September.

The car was stopped as it headed towards Congleton on the A34 Manchester Road in Eaton.

The father and son, who live together in Ridgeway Avenue, Blackburn, have been released on unconditional bail.

They are set to return to Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 17 May.
