Excitement is building for the return of an eco-friendly event filled with family fun.

The sixth annual Green Fayre will take over Congleton town centre on Saturday, September 27.

Organised by the town council and Congleton Partnership, the event encourages eco-conscious choices and provides an opportunity to explore environmentally friendly initiatives, engage with local suppliers, and contribute to sustainability efforts.

Congleton Town Mayor, councillor Robert Brittain, said: "The Green Fayre is about community and sustainability – small steps, taken together, that make a real difference.

"We look forward to welcoming everyone for what promises to be an inspiring day of fun and education, together, as a community we can make a real difference."

Congleton Green Fayre runs from 10am to 3pm and will see more than 30 stalls line the High Street.

These stalls will showcase environmentally friendly businesses, products, and services.

Visitors can also discover greener lifestyle choices and take part in hands-on activities inside the Town Hall.

Other highlights include the Congleton Repair Café, a book swap, eco-friendly face painting and the 'Big Clothes Movement' sale.

Also, keep your eyes peeled for the Hedgemen, interactive performers bringing fun to visitors of all ages.

Road closures

Road closures will be in operation to ensure the event runs smoothly.

High Street and Moody Street will be closed from 7am to 6pm (no access from Market Street).

Market Street will remain open for access to Morrisons and the Fairground Car Park.

The bus and taxi ranks will operate as usual, exiting via Mountbatten Way.
