Congleton Town's match against Rylands has been cancelled after a Bears' player showed coronavirus symptoms whilst training this week.

The Bears were scheduled to kick off at 3pm at the Cheshire Silk 106.9 Stadium today.

Congleton Town's club secretary, Ken Mead said: "We have a player who trained during the week with symptoms that could be a result of the coronavirus.

"Having spoken with the North West Counties League Chairman, it has been agreed that the game should be postponed on safety grounds."
