Congleton's much-loved paddling pool is set to close its gates for the summer after the last session on Sunday 1 September.
The pool has welcomed over nine thousand visitors this season, making it another fantastic year despite some initial challenges with the weather.
Congleton Town Mayor, Cllr Kay Wesely, expressed gratitude to the community, stating: "We want to thank everyone who visited the Paddling Pool this summer. It's been heartwarming to see so many families enjoying this special attraction in our town. Although the weather wasn't always on our side early in the season, the sun eventually shone through, giving us some scorching days that were perfect for a splash in the pool. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure every session ran smoothly, and I couldn't be prouder of their dedication."
A highlight of this season was the success of the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) sessions, organised in partnership with Ruby's. These sessions aimed to create a more inclusive environment for families, allowing children with additional needs to enjoy the pool in a supportive setting.
The Town Mayor said: "It was wonderful to see so many families benefiting from this initiative. We are committed to making our town's facilities accessible to everyone, and this partnership with Ruby's is a great example of that."
