Congleton Police to make special birthday visits for children

Congleton Police has announced they want to make children's birthdays as special as possible by running #OperationBirthday.

A Congleton Police spokesperson said: "We are aware lots of children are currently having to spend their birthdays at home and missing out on parties with friends and family."

If you would like to nominate a child for a special birthday visit, who will be celebrating their birthday next week (27th April to 1st May).

Email with the subject as Operation Birthday to [email protected] and provide the following details:

- Name of the child and person nominating

- Home address

- Age of child

From the nominations each day, the officers will choose at random two lucky recipients and will be in touch, so keep an eye on your emails if you have sent a nomination.

Congleton Police stated that the officers attending any visit will be adhering to social distancing by 2m.
