The crew spent around 20 minutes at the scene.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "On arrival the crew found a fire at the side of a river embankment measuring approximately eight metres by four metres.

"Firefighters used two hose reel jets to put out the fire and were in attendance for more than 20 minutes."
