Fire call in Congleton quickly dealt with by crew

Firefighters quickly dealt with a large fire next to a river embankment in Congleton.
One fire engine from Congleton was called to Royle Steet, shortly after 5pm yesterday.
The crew spent around 20 minutes at the scene.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "On arrival the crew found a fire at the side of a river embankment measuring approximately eight metres by four metres.
"Firefighters used two hose reel jets to put out the fire and were in attendance for more than 20 minutes."
