An entry level care vacancy has cropped up at Congleton War Memorial Hospital.

Offering £20,330 - £21,777 per annum pro rata, plus NHS pension scheme and health service discounts, there are multiple positions to be a Health Care Assistant as part of the Complex Care Team.

There are multiple positions available which will involve shift work including days, nights and weekends. Both full-time and part-time roles are available, with the former offering 37 and a half hours per week.

The job description states: "The post-holder will be responsible for the holistic care of a child with complex health care needs and/or technology dependence in the Clients own home.

"The post-holder will be working in conjunction with the family, other carers, health care professionals' and teachers to ensure a holistic approach to the child / young person's care."

The lucky Health Care Assistants will support an adolescent who requires invasive ventilation to live as normal a life as possible.

The chosen candidates should be able to demonstrate a willingness and commitment to team working and have good communication skills.

A Level 2 NVQ in health and social care is essential. But no previous paid job in care is required, but it will be a bonus.

Successful applicants will complete training.

You must be able to drive as there is office work in Congleton, and care in Macclesfield.

COVID-19 vaccination is not a condition of employment, but a DBS check is.

While the multiple vacancies are permanent, there is one maternity cover position as well.
