A Congleton company is on a mission to ensure every child has a present waiting for them under the tree this Christmas.

Blue Spot IT is on a mission to give something back this holiday season with the launch of its toy appeal.

The project is being run in partnership with New Life Church.

Guy Brittain, co-founder of Blue Spot IT, said: "We've always admired the work New Life Church does in the community, especially around Christmas.

"When we learned about their efforts to support local families, it just made sense to join forces.

"Partnering with them allows us to reach more people and make a bigger difference together."

Guy, son of Congleton's current Town Mayor Robert Brittain, added: "This initiative could mean a great deal.

"Many families are feeling the strain right now, and Christmas can be an especially tough time.

"A small gesture, like donating a toy, can bring joy to a child and relieve some of the pressure on parents.

"It's about reminding people that they're not alone and that their community cares."

It is not the first time Blue Spot IT has shown its charitable spirit.

In year past, the company has been involved in several initiatives through the Sedulo Foundation.

"Since Blue Spot is based in Congleton and was originally set up here, we wanted to bring that same spirit closer to home this year and do something that directly supports local families," Guy said.

"We're all big kids at heart, and I think Christmas brings the inner child out in all of us — there's something really special about helping to make a child's Christmas morning a little more magical."

New and unopened toys can be dropped off at Blue Spot at Dane Mill Business Centre or New Life Church at Danesford Community Centre on West Road.

Guy said: "Every gift, no matter how small, makes a difference. If you're able to, please pick up an extra toy while you're shopping and drop it off with us.

"Together, we can make sure every child in Congleton wakes up to something special on Christmas morning and show just how caring and generous our community really is."
