Emergency services have paid their respects to mark the fifth anniversary of the Bosley Wood Treatment mill disaster.

Today the community remembers the four victims who sadly died after a blast tore through the plant at 9:10am on 17th July 2015.

The explosion tragically claimed the lives of Derek Moore, William Barks, Dorothy Bailey and Jason Shingler.

A Congleton Fire Station spokesperson said: "Today marks five years since the Bosley Wood Mill explosion. Our thoughts are with the families of Derek, Dorothy, Jason and Will, also their friends, colleagues and the wider community.

"We took part in quiet reflection with members of the local community this morning."

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Today, we're thinking of all of those whose lives were changed forever by the Bosley mill tragedy. Five years on, but never forgotten."
