Community groups invited to apply for additional funding

Community groups are being invited to apply for additional funding.
Congleton Town Council is encouraging local community groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations to apply for funding through its Grants Scheme.
Applications will be considered at the Finance and Policy Committee meeting on February 26, with a deadline of February 9.
with application deadlines approaching for the February and March 2026 Finance and Policy Committee meetings.
For those unable to meet this deadline, a further opportunity is available ahead of the March 26 meeting, with applications required by March 16.
Congleton Town Mayor, councillor Robert Brittain, said: "Our Grants Scheme plays an important role in supporting the fantastic work being carried out by community groups and charities across Congleton.
"Whether you're delivering social activities, health and wellbeing projects, or initiatives that bring people together, we encourage organisations to apply and take advantage of this opportunity."

The Grants Scheme supports a wide range of community-led projects that benefit residents of Congleton.
A recent beneficiary was No Tier Snooker, with the group receiving £1,000 to aid their work supporting people living with early onset dementia and frontotemporal dementia.
Meeting weekly at Congleton Snooker Club, No Tier Snooker provides a safe, welcoming environment where participants can enjoy snooker, friendship, and social connection.
Further grant funding will be available during the 2026/27 financial year.
