Classic BBC sitcom to be reimagined as a play performed in Congleton

One of the UK's funniest sitcoms of all-time will have an adaption performed in Congleton.
Blackadder II - which first hit out screens 36 years ago - will be interpreted in theatrical form by a local cast later this year.
The BBC TV show, set during the reign of Elizabeth I, originally starred Richard Curtis and Tony Robison.
The Congleton interpretation of the comedy will by directed by Howard Ball and Robin Jackson.
It will have a five day run with a cast of 15 this autumn.
The script is similar to the Richard Curtis and Ben Elton series, which was set in the late 15th and early 16th century.
The Daneside Theatre said in a statement: "The Blackadder series has been voted as one of the funniest British comedies of all time and Blackadder II is the funniest of them all."
"Join Edmund Blackadder and his friends for some cunning plans and a true and japesome journey through Elizabethan England."
The first performance will be on Tuesday October 4, with daily shows until the last one on Saturday October 8.
The show starts at 7:30pm each day, with the most expensive tickets being just £10.
