Cheshire East Highways close Gawsworth Road from its junction with Dark Lane due to fallen tree

Cheshire East Highways has closed Gawsworth Road from its junction with Dark Lane due to a fallen tree.

Motorists have been advised to use an alternative route.

A Macclesfield West and Ivy Police spokesperson said: "Please do not go down Gawsworth Road towards Dark Lane due to a large tree falling down which will result in the roads being closed for a couple of hours.

"Please find an alternative route."
