Award-winning Congleton Park will be celebrating its 150th birthday next May. This year the park was awarded a 13th green flag and a special heritage award by Keep Britain Tidy.

In previous years, the Friends of Congleton Park have been given 'Outstanding' from the Royal Horticultural Society.

The park has seen many clean ups and litter picks by local volunteers over several years.

Many members of the public have spoken about how the park has been a special place to unwind and relax during the year of the pandemic.

The public has also been very grateful for the wonderful floral displays in the park, which have cheered them up throughout this difficult year.

To commemorate this special 150th anniversary in 2021, Congleton in Bloom with Friends of Congleton Park have produced a special calendar for 2021, featuring many different views of the park through the ages.

The calendar is on sale at The Information Centre, the Old Saw Mill and of course at Stocks at the Pavilion in Congleton Park.

Members of the Congleton in Bloom team will be selling the calendar at the Makers Market on 19 December.
