Police have released CCTV images of a man they are looking to identify following an arson attack in Congleton.

At around 2.50am on Saturday, June 27, a petrol bomb was thrown outside an address on Clayton Avenue.

Only minor damage was caused, and the fire was quickly extinguished.

Investigations are now underway and as part of the investigation, detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they are keen to identify.

Detective Sergeant Tom Binder said: "This appears to be a targeted attack, and we are committed to doing all we can to identify the person responsible.

"I would urge anyone who thinks they know the identity of the man in the CCTV images to get in touch.

"The same goes for anyone who believes they have anyone with any information which may aid our investigation."
