Congleton: Here are some of the greatest snaps from this weekend's fireworks.

Organised firework displays are safer and feature better fireworks, let off in a controlled space by teams of professionals.

Now they are back and the people of Congleton loved it!

Rotary-Congleton put on a spectacular display in Congleton Park on Saturday, November 6th.

Around 4,000 people attended the family event, in our town's multi-Green Flag award winning park.

There were fairground rides, sideshows, food and an ice cream van. The fire was lit by the Mayor.

Denis Murphy, Rotary President, Stewart Price and a team from the Air Training Cadets and the scouts.

The audience saw two displays - the first toned down for the smaller children and later the adult display with 20 minutes of professional fireworks.

No injuries have been reported, and Rotary Congleton are elated to have organised the display to the enjoyment of the town.
