COVID-19 cases fall in Congleton during October half-term

COVID cases are in free fall in Congleton, with just under 150 new recorded weekly cases in our area.
The latest stats for the seven days up until October 28 shows another fall for the third consecutive week.
These numbers take into account Congleton kids being off school for the October half-term, which is a largely unvaccinated population.
The figures are as follows (brackets denote change from previous 7 days)

Listed in Alphabetical Order Buglawton recorded 25 cases (down 51) Cranage & Goostrey recorded 29 cases (down 18) Congleton Town recorded 34 cases (down 6) Congleton West Heath recorded 29 cases (down 31) Hightown, Mossley & Timbersbrook recorded 24 cases (down 25) This is a total of 141 cases of Congleton's five areas, down 131 from last week's recorded cases of 272. The most recent data of 141 is a steep decline from the 319 positive tests for the seven days leading up to October 14. Congleton Town has 83.7% of the ward single-vaccinated as of November 1 2021. 79% have had both doses. Booster vaccination data for Congleton is currently unavailable. Despite the drop in numbers, mask wearing in public transport and confined public spaces are still recommended. There's good news with local deaths being also down. Across East Cheshire NHS Trust, two people with coronavirus went into hospital on 24 October 2021. For data protection reasons, it is unknown if any of these are from Congleton. Between 18 October 2021 and 24 October 2021, 15 went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows a decrease of -28.6% compared to the previous 7 days. There were 20 patients in hospital with coronavirus on 26 October 2021. Some people in the hospital need to use a special device called a mechanical ventilator to help them breathe. There were three coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on 26 October 2021. There were zero deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported on 2 November 2021. Between 27 October 2021 and 2 November 2021, there have been five deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test. This shows a decrease of -50.0% compared to the previous seven days.
