Beartown Brewery are looking to host the 'biggest ever' pub quiz.

As part of their 31st birthday celebrations, the Spindle Street brewery is calling on pubs across the UK to play their part in brewing history.

The Beartown Biggest Ever Pub Quiz will be streamed into venues across the country on Thursday (May 29).

It will be an 'unofficial' record attempt for the largest simultaneous digital pub quiz taking place in on-trade venues.

If nothing else, it will help drive footfall and raise raise funds for Animals Asia, the world's leading bear rescue and rehabilitation charity.

Joe Manning, Beartown's managing director, said: "It's important that any brand activations we do drive real world value for operators.

"There's a significant growth in competitive socialising and the overall experience economy and we want to help on-trade venues of all shapes and sizes to take a slice of the pie, at no cost to them."

Founded in 1994 in Congleton, Beartown Brewery has evolved from a small-town favourite into a respected national name in British brewing.

After being saved from liquidation by Joe in 2015, the brewery has grown to a combined revenue of over £2.5 million.

In 2024, the brewery hosted over 40 pub quizzes as part of their 30th birthday celebrations.

This year, they are aiming even higher, with hopes of getting hundreds of venues and thousands of players participating.

The event will be delivered alongside Hashtag Quiz, one of the UK's leading digital quiz suppliers.

Participating venues will receive an exclusive activation package complete with limited-release birthday beers, POS kits, digital market assets and optional hosting support.
