Cocktail of the Week: Mocha Martini

Congleton Nub News has joined forces with a regular reader to share a 'Cocktail of the Week' feature.

This week, Josh is bringing you a twist on the classic Espresso Martini: The Mocha Martini

The 'Mocha Martini' is a sweet cocktail with a classy, after-dinner vibe great for winding down after work or serving up as an extra-special treat to Christmas dinner guests.

Find out how to make it below...

Ingredients:

50ml cooled coffee
25ml vodka
25ml cooled 'hot' chocolate
25ml amaretto

Method:

add plenty of ice to a martin glass to chill it
put all of your ingredients into a shaker with ice
shake hard for 30 seconds over ice
remove the ice and share for a further 20 seconds
remove the ice from your glass
strain your shaken cocktail into your martini glass
squeeze over a swirl of chocolate sauce, or sprinkle with cocoa powder to decorate
