Congleton Nub News has joined forces with a regular reader to share a 'Cocktail of the Week' feature, and this week we are back sharing alcoholic cocktails after a month of supporting Dry January with our 'Mocktail of the Week'.

This week, Josh is bringing you his take on a Mexican Mule - like a Moscow Mule, but with tequila and a twist!

Get ready for this baby to fire you up for the weekend.

Ingredients:

  • 50ml tequila
  • 25ml limejuice
  • 25ml lemon juice
  • mint leaves or syrup
  • ginger beer

Method:

  1. if you are using mint leaves, muddle in a shaker
  2. add your tequila, lime juice and lemon juice to the shaker
  3. if you are using mint syrup, add with your wet ingredients
  4. shake over ice until chilled
  5. pour into a tumbler over ice - if you used mint leaves, be sure to strain
  6. top up with ginger beer
  7. add a wedge of lemon to garnish

Enjoy!
