Discarded cigarette causes planter fire

A discarded cigarette caused a fire involving a planter in Congleton earlier today (Thursday).

Firefighters were called following reports of a fire in Market Street at 4.51pm.

One fire engine from Congleton attended and one hose reel jet was used to extinguish the flames.
